A dramatic daylight robbery unfolded at the Pan African Savings and Loans, located adjacent to FBN Bank on the Spintex road in Accra. According to reports, two young armed robbers trailed someone carrying a bag full of cash to the bank. The robbers, who had reportedly been hovering around the Top Pharmacy opposite the bank, seized the opportunity to strike when they spotted their victim. Despite the intense exchanged of gunfire between the robbers and the Police, they managed to escape with the cash. Some people who witnessed the incident said there was a delay in the Police response, which may have contributed to their escape. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The police in Weija have arrested two persons for possessing a freshly chopped-off male head. The suspects, who are currently in police custody, are Samuel Amemasi, 32, and Joseph Kwesi Mawuwone, 23. Police sources that confirmed the arrest to the Daily Graphic yesterday said the person whose head was cut off was yet to be identified However, residents of Hobor in the Ga South municipality where the arrest took place, suspected the head to be that of a driver said to be a friend of one of the suspects. The police sources said at about 10.30p.m. last Sunday they received information about an accident involving a taxi at Hobor. On rushing to the scene, the human head was found in the car. A Nigerian has been extradited from Ghana to the United States over his alleged involvement in fraud and information theft against some victims in Northern Ohio, and other places. 31-year-old Blessing Adeleke had earlier been arrested in Accra by the Ghana Police Service on Monday, March 14, 2022. He is facing 17 counts of indictment with one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and 16 counts of bank fraud using an online business. According to the US Department of Justice, Adeleke served as an administrator for an online store – Shad0w.info – between January, 2014 and October, 2016 through which compromised data, such as credit numbers and personally identifiable information (PII), were sold.
