As part of the initiative of the Cape Coast Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Amos Jimmy Markin, the Area has observed 40 days of fasting and prayers dubbed, ‘A Season of God's Visitation,’ under the theme: ‘Hastening His Coming, Living for Him, and Making Him Known’ (2 Peter 3:10-12). The Women’s Ministry in the Bompata Area of The Church of Pentecost has made a generous donation to the Ministry to Persons with Disabilities (MPWDs) in the Area. The donation, which included bags of rice, cooking oils, soft drinks, toiletries, and brand-new clothes, as well as an unspecified amount of cash, was presented on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, by a delegation led by Mrs. Rebecca Asamoah, the wife of the Area Head. The Dawhenya District of The Church of Pentecost recently visited Akuse Prison, reflecting its commitment to prison outreach and evangelism. During this visit, the district donated assorted items valued at GHS 18,000.00 to both inmates and staff, while also leading 38 individuals to accept Jesus Christ. A young man named Kwasi surrendered his charms for burning after accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour. This significant event occurred when a group of youth from the Tema Greenwich Meridian District English Assembly of The Church of Pentecost evangelised to him during the November Aggressive Evangelism. Kwasi explained that he used the charms for protection and to attract girls. He claimed it allowed him to cause trouble without facing consequences. He recounted being attacked three times with machetes but stated that he was unharmed due to the charms, which he believed prevented cuts on his skin.
