Pentsos Donates To Ashanti-Mampong Pentecost Vocational Training Institute

Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS), the social services wing of The Church of Pentecost, has donated some teaching and learning equipment to the Pentecost Vocational Institute (PVI) at Mampong in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The items donated were six treadle sewing machines with alternative power supply, five hairdryers, one knitting machine, four hand sewing machines and one industrial sewing machine. The donation is part of efforts by PENTSOS to retool the various vocational training and skills learning centres under its management so as to build their capacity to effectively train young people and provide them with employable vocational skills. Ministers of The Church of Pentecost have been encouraged to make it a habit of planting and nurturing trees as part of their day-to-day activities. This appeal was made by the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Kumi-Larbi, when he planted a tree at the premises of the Bolgatanga Central Assembly on Friday, June 25, 2021, as part of a three-day duty visit to the Upper East Region. During his visit, the General Secretary saw to the planting of nine trees, three of which he planted himself. Bolga Central Assembly Church Building Dedicated

The church building of the Bolga Central Assembly in the Bolga District of The Church of Pentecost was dedicated on Friday, June 25, 2021, by the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi. The building, which was constructed at a total cost of GH¢1,390,608.64, was funded through grants from the General Headquarters, Missions Office, Bolga Area and the Bolga District as well as funds from the Central Assembly. Some benevolent individuals of the church also made significant contributions to the project. The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, commissioned an ultramodern health facility constructed by the church at Kultamise, a farming community in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The facility, which took 21 months to complete, is expected to serve communities located over the banks of the Kulpelgu river, namely Kultamise, Kolnaba, Bitsu, Nware, Gamburugu, Cinakom, Sangaboli and Kawerigu. An ultramodern Bakery funded jointly by the Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) and the General Headquarters of the Church of Pentecost has been commissioned at Busunya in the Techiman Area. The Bakery initiative is a social enterprise project of PENTSOS with an overarching purpose to build the youth's productive capacity and create job opportunities through skills training. The PENTSOS Bakery Project is expected to provide direct employment to 150 people youth in the Church, function as a skills training centre to train the youth in bread making and pastries, and indirectly create jobs for over 500 people in Nkoranza North District.
