The Children’s Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Samuel Avornyo, has urged ministers and their wives to focus on building tomorrow’s church today.
Addressing ministers and their during his first official visit to the Nsawam Area, Pastor Avornyo stressed that children should be seen not only as the future of the church but also as its current strength.
Speaking on the topic, ‘Unleashing the Children’ (Luke 19:30-36; Psalm 131:1-3), Pastor Avornyo asserted that children have prophetic mandates to fulfill, just like the colt that carried the Lord Jesus Christ, as recorded in Zechariah 9:9-10.
‘The central message of the gospel is Jesus, and God can use anyone, including children, to propagate it. We need to intentionally develop well-rounded children who embrace evangelism and prayer as a lifestyle and boldly defend their faith. This is the focus of our new agenda: winning, weaning, and unleashing children to transform their worlds,’ he stated.
Pastor Avornyo announced a new initiative dubbed, ‘One Mission House, One Community Club,’ which aims at establishing Children’s Community Clubs in various mission houses with the hope of winning and nurturing more children for the Lord.
The four-day visit afforded the Children’s Director the opportunity to interact with ministers and their wives, officers, parents, children workers and children in the Area, discussing the ministry’s activities and his vision for the next four years.
