The Tarkwa Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr David Nyansa Hayfron—who also serves as an Executive Council Member and Board Chairman of the Pent Media Centre—has declared that Jesus Christ remains the only source of salvation, healing, and transformation for the world, urging believers to hold firmly to the message of the cross.
Speaking at the opening of the 2026 Easter Convention of the Akoon Zone at the Miracle Temple Auditorium in the New Atuabo District, Apostle Hayfron delivered a passionate sermon centered on the theme: “Jesus Christ Anointed to Save, Heal and Transform the World.”
Drawing from scriptures including Luke 4:18-19, John 10:10, and Acts 10:38, he traced the history of humanity from creation through the fall of man, emphasizing God’s redemptive plan to restore mankind through Jesus Christ.
According to him, although humanity has continually struggled with sin, even among those who strive to live righteously, God’s ultimate solution was the sacrifice of His sinless Son.
“There is no other saviour, no alternative source of salvation apart from Jesus Christ,” he stressed, adding that debates about Christ’s existence and saving grace do not change the truth of His divine mission.
Apostle Hayfron explained that God’s promise to save humanity began with Abraham, intending to reach the entire world through his descendants. However, he noted that the Jews at a point sought to limit salvation to themselves, contrary to God’s universal plan.
He assured that The Church of Pentecost remains committed to spreading the gospel globally to ensure that all people come to the knowledge of Christ.
Highlighting the expectations of the Messiah within Judaism, he said many anticipated a political and charismatic leader who would restore the earthly kingdom of David. However, God fulfilled His promise in a divine and unexpected way through Jesus Christ—born of Mary and connected to the lineage of David through Joseph.
Quoting Isaiah 9:6-9, Apostle Hayfron affirmed that Jesus is both God in human form and the Prince of Peace, whose reign is eternal.
He further explained that through Christ, God redefined what it means to belong to His people—from physical descent and circumcision to a transformation of the heart through faith in Jesus.
“In the New Testament, God has gathered all people through salvation. Believers are now the living stones being built into a spiritual house,” he said.
He declared Jesus Christ as both the Chief Priest and the King of Kings, whose death and resurrection—celebrated at Easter—offer humanity the ultimate victory over sin and a pathway to eternal life.
