The Area Head of The Church of Pentecost in Sefwi Wiawso, Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, has stated that divine health is essential for fulfilling one’s God-given destiny, emphasising that Jesus Christ remains the accredited provider of a healthy and whole life for believers.
He made the remark during the morning session of the ongoing “Sefwi For Christ” crusade on March 13, 2026, at The Church of Pentecost Central Auditorium in Sefwi Bekwai.
Speaking on the topic “Jesus Christ, the Accredited Healthy Life Provider”, he drew lessons from the Third Epistle of John 1:2, explaining that good health is essential for fulfilling one’s destiny, noting that physical weakness and illness can easily become major distractions in life.
“If you are healthy, you are able to fulfil your destiny,” he said, adding that persistent pain or sickness can divide a person’s focus and hinder productivity.
Referencing Mark 12:29–30, he noted that a person who is not healthy may struggle to fully concentrate on serving God and contributing meaningfully to society.
He stressed that divine health is part of God’s desire for His people, citing Matthew 8:1–2 to affirm that God does not intend for His children to remain in a state of infirmity but desires to heal and restore them.
Apostle Davidson further encouraged believers to have confidence in God’s power to heal, referencing John 5:14–15, which assures believers that God hears and answers prayers offered according to His will.
“If it is the will of God for you to be well, no devil can keep you sick,” he stated.
He concluded by urging believers to demonstrate faith in the gospel by stepping forward in faith and doing what they could not previously do, describing divine health as “the bread for God’s children” and a powerful testimony that can inspire others.
