In a heartfelt effort to promote education and community well-being, The Church of Pentecost Babile District in the Wa Area donated 250 pairs of sandals to school children within the district on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The donation, part of the church’s Vision 2028 initiative titled “Unleashing the Whole Church to Transform Their World with the Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God,” underscores the church’s commitment beyond spiritual activities. District Minister Ovr. James Ashamoah Wettey emphasized that the act exemplifies the church’s love in action, aiming to improve the lives of children by providing better footwear for their school days.
The donation was distributed across three schools—Wulling Basic School, Salvation Preparatory School, and Bendito School—benefiting 250 children. Ovr. Wettey cited Proverbs 3:27, urging the community to “do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,” highlighting the Church’s focus on life transformation through education and service.
Parents and guardians were encouraged to partner with the church and other stakeholders in shaping their children’s future through love, discipline, and education. The event was attended by school officials, church leaders, and representatives from Access Bank Ghana Limited and the District Minister of Basounde, Ovr Twumberima Pamfo, whose support made the initiative possible.
Ovr. James Wettey reaffirmed that the church remains committed to community development and will continue to do more as long as capacity allows. The District Minister expressed gratitude to church leaders and supporters for their unwavering support in fostering community growth.
