The Kaneshie Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Daniel Dekpor, has emphasised that the resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the foundation of hope and new life for believers.
Speaking during the climax of the 2026 Easter Convention at the Kaneshie Zone on the theme, “Jesus Christ: The Ultimate Sacrifice for Humanity,” Apostle Dekpor noted that Christ’s death and resurrection brought a radical transformation to humanity.
According to him, the resurrection is not only a historical event but also a present-day reality that offers believers hope and spiritual empowerment.
“The resurrection brought us hope and power—a hope for a new life,” he stated.
Apostle Dekpor also recounted events that attempted to hinder the resurrection, including efforts by the Pharisees to secure the tomb of Jesus. However, he stressed that these attempts failed, as the resurrection had already been foretold in Scripture.
He explained that the fulfillment of prophecy demonstrates the sovereignty and power of God, affirming the certainty of Christ’s victory over death.
Highlighting the significance of the resurrection, he urged believers to embrace their evangelistic mandate.
“Our duty as Christians is to go and tell—sharing the gospel to all and reaching every sphere for Christ,” he charged.
Referencing the burial of Jesus in a rich man’s tomb despite His crucifixion among sinners, Apostle Dekpor encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to God.
He assured that those who believe in the power of the resurrection and remain in Christ will experience transformation and divine fulfilment.
The service ended with a renewed sense of purpose among members to live out the message of the resurrection and actively participate in spreading the gospel.
