The District Pastor of the Afienya Estate District in the Ashaiman Area of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Justice Twene Adane, has declared that Jesus Christ remains the only Saviour and the ultimate hope for humanity.
He made this assertion during the Day Two (evening session) of the 2026 Easter Convention held at the Afienya Zone, where he preached from Romans 5:6 and Acts 4:12.
Pastor Twene Adane explained that while many people observe Good Friday, few fully understand its significance. According to him, the day is termed “Good” because it marks the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind.
He noted that God’s love for humanity was evident from creation, having made man in His own image and given him dominion over the earth. However, he said this relationship was broken through disobedience after man was deceived by Satan.
As a result, he explained, humanity became subject to sin and its consequences, creating the need for divine intervention.
“You keep running and hiding, thinking you cannot leave your sin, but there is a Man who died for you, and His name is Jesus,” he declared.
According to Pastor Twene Adane, God demonstrated His love by sending His Son, Jesus Christ—not an angel or prophet—to save humanity. He explained that Christ took upon Himself the sins of the world and secured forgiveness and freedom through His death on the cross.
Referencing the story of the demon-possessed man in Mark 5, he noted that true transformation comes through an encounter with Jesus, adding that no situation is beyond His saving power.
He further emphasised that the resurrection of Christ confirms His victory over sin and death, offering redemption and restoration to all who believe.
Pastor Twene Adane concluded by urging participants to respond to the call of Christ, stressing that Jesus remains the only source of lasting hope and solutions to the challenges of life.
