The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobia, has called on believers to yield to the Holy Spirit to experience a total transformation in their lives.
He made this call when he, together with his wife, Mrs. Juliana Korkor Obuobia, joined the Michelle Camp District for the climax of its District Week celebration, dubbed Transformation Conference 2026, held at the Michelle Camp Central Assembly.
Preaching on the theme, “The Transformative Power of the Holy Spirit,” Apostle Obuobia explained that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of power who brings profound change in the life of every believer. Quoting Acts 1:8, he noted that the Holy Spirit empowers Christians with divine ability, efficiency, and might to become effective witnesses of Christ.
Drawing lessons from the life of King Saul, he emphasised that a genuine encounter with the Holy Spirit begins with a transformation of the heart, which ultimately leads to a complete change in a person’s life. According to him, “when the Spirit of God comes upon a person, He gives him another heart and turns him into another man.”
Apostle Obuobia further stated that the transformative power of the Holy Spirit enables believers to operate in the supernatural, citing the experiences of the apostles who performed extraordinary miracles through the power of the Spirit.
He added that beyond transformation, the Holy Spirit also leads individuals into their God-ordained destiny, irrespective of their background or limitations.
He urged believers to develop a deep hunger and thirst for God and continually yield to the Holy Spirit in order to live transformed and purposeful lives.
