The Mankessim Area of The Church of Pentecost hosted a four-day crusade at Edumadze School Park from February 17–21, 2026, bringing worshippers together for powerful preaching, heartfelt prayer, and life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ.
Organised by a dedicated planning committee, the crusade aimed to proclaim the Gospel of Salvation and demonstrate that Jesus Christ alone sets captives free, restores hope, and brings lasting joy. The programme attracted worshippers from Mankessim and neighbouring communities, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation, spiritual hunger, and fervent praise. Many attendees responded to altar calls, marking the beginning of renewed spiritual journeys.
The theme, “Jesus Christ — He Sets the Captive Free,” inspired all sessions, while Apostle Isaac Kofi Annan, Area Head of Mankessim, chaired the crusade with full support from Area ministers. Guest speakers included Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin (Cape Coast Area Head), Pastor Adjei-Nimako Darkwa (Agona Swedru Area Head), Pastor Eric Asare (Assin Foso Area Head), Elder Edward Essuman (Takoradi), and Elder Stephen Awuah Kese (Tarkwa Prayer Camp Leader).
Evening sessions transformed the school park into a sanctuary of worship and life-changing preaching. Morning revival sessions at the Estate District Central Assembly provided teaching, intercession, healings, deliverance, and personal ministry. Anointed gospel ministers, including Deaconesses Joyce Effah Kaakyire and Miriam Ampadu, Elder Thompson Baidoo, and Deacon Emmanuel Gyamfi, led worship with the Mankessim Area Mass Choir, engaging congregants in deep spiritual encounters.
Evangelistic teams, including the Gospel Heralds, took the message to homes, markets, streets, and ghettos, ensuring the Gospel reached every corner of the community. The crusade climaxed with a free medical screening exercise sponsored by Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, reflecting the church’s commitment to holistic ministry.
The crusade recorded 199 souls won for Christ, 84 baptised in water, 21 receiving Holy Spirit baptism, and 20 rededicating their lives. Testimonies of healing, restoration, and renewed relationships poured in, highlighting the profound spiritual impact of the event.
The Mankessim for Christ Crusade has laid a strong spiritual foundation for continued transformation in the municipality as the church advances its mission of possessing the nations through the Gospel.
