On Saturday, 28th February 2026, the PENSA Cape Coast Sector, led by Pastor Blessing Joseph Quayson, PENSA Travelling Secretary, hosted the fifth edition of the Let the Bible Speak Conference at Adisadel College, Centenary Auditorium. The event, held under the theme “Unleashed with the Power of the Holy Spirit to Transform My Campus” (Acts 8:4–8), drew 2,010 tertiary and pre-tertiary students from across the region.
The main speaker, Apostle Dr. Brig. Gen. Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode, Director General of Religious Affairs, Ghana Armed Forces, delivered an inspiring message titled “The Transformative Power, Gift and Fruit of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; John 3:5–6; Ephesians 1:13–14). He explained that transformation is a change in appearance, form, or nature, while sin is deviation from God’s standards (Romans 6:23). Salvation, he said, occurs when sin is removed through acceptance of the gospel by the Holy Spirit.
Apostle Kumi-Woode encouraged students to embrace being born again, moving from being descendants of Adam to children of God, and to cultivate spiritual discipline through consistent prayer, scripture reading, and devotion. He emphasized that the fruit of the Holy Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, self-control, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and kindness (Galatians 5:22–23)—reflects the character of God, and that maturity in Christ is demonstrated through bearing this fruit (Colossians 3:12–14). He added that nurturing the Word of God and engaging in uplifting gospel music helps believers remain conscious of sin and walk in holiness.
The conference also focused on the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; Acts 10:2). Aps. Kumi-Woode outlined the gifts of the Spirit, including Grace Gifts (Romans 12:6–8), Ministry/Ascension Gifts (Ephesians 4:7–13), and Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4–11), grouped as Revelation, Power/Confirmation, and Vocal Gifts. He encouraged participants to seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which accompanies these gifts.
The event featured impartation and spiritual healing sessions where the mighty hand of God was visibly present. Among the attendees were Mrs. Esther Mansa Annan Quayson, wife of the Travelling Secretary, Mrs. Rosilta Asare (RPCP, UCC), working team members, and patrons from various institutions.
The conference successfully equipped students to live transformed lives, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and committed to impacting their campuses for Christ.
