Deaconess Francisca Amoah, popularly known in the Ghanaian media space as Maame Koma Addo, has received three outstanding awards in recognition of her impactful service to society. She was honoured as Best Philanthropist, Overall Best TV Personality, and Best TV Programme of the Year 2025 for her television programme So W’awura Mu Yie. She is a member of The Church of Pentecost at the Ashiyie District in the Amrahia Area.
The awards were presented at two prestigious events organised by African Business and Entertainment in August 2025 and Eminent Award in October 2025, held under the themes “Celebrating African Excellence” and “The Quadra Honour Edition.” The ceremonies recognised individuals whose innovation, creativity, and sustained contributions continue to positively impact the social, psychosomatic, and economic wellbeing of people in Ghana, Africa, and beyond.
Maame Koma Addo was recognised for her extensive philanthropic work, advocacy for the vulnerable, empowerment initiatives, and impactful marriage and family counselling delivered through television. Her leadership in chaplaincy services, career guidance, mentoring of adolescent girls, and community development programmes also contributed to her selection for the awards.
Speaking to Pentecost News after receiving the honours, Deaconess Amoah expressed gratitude to God for the strength and grace that made the achievements possible. She attributed the recognition to God’s hand upon her life and ministry.
She also commended the leadership of The Church of Pentecost for its visionary direction, effective supervision, and continuous empowerment of members to become agents of transformation in all spheres of life. She noted that the salvation believers receive through Christ should be reflected in practical love, generosity, and empowerment that restore hope, support the vulnerable, and transform communities.
Deaconess Francisca Maame Koma Addo is an Assistant Director at the Akuapem South Municipal Assembly and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Maame Koma Foundation. She also serves as the Amrahia Area Chaplaincy Ministry Secretary, Assistant Coordinator of the Amrahia Virtuous Ladies Ministry, and a member of the Ashiyie District Counselling Ministry.
