The Church of Pentecost, Kadjebi District, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, held its annual thanksgiving service, themed “Officers in Worship,” at the Kadjebi Central Auditorium.
The event, anchored on the scripture “Let’s give thanks to the Lord for He is good” (Psalm 107:1), brought together personnel from all security agencies to acknowledge God’s protection and guidance throughout the year while seeking His direction for the year ahead.
Over 135 officers from the Ghana Police Service, Immigration Service, Fire Service, Customs Excise and Preventive Service, Ghana Ambulance Service, and Narcotics Control Commission attended, alongside church officers and members of the district. The gathering provided a platform for spiritual reflection and communal thanksgiving, stressing the connection between faith and service.
Delivering the keynote address, District Pastor Pastor Samuel Ohene Abeka highlighted the importance of gratitude, drawing on Luke 17:11–19. He reminded officers that recognising God’s goodness and returning to His presence in thanksgiving is a vital act of faith. Quoting Psalm 107:1, he encouraged the personnel to give thanks continually and urged them to view their professions not merely as jobs, but as divine callings that carry spiritual significance.
District Commanders from the various security agencies also took turns to express appreciation, thanking God and acknowledging the Church of Pentecost for organising a program that fosters unity and spiritual growth. The service was filled with vibrant worship, featuring traditional Gospel Jama performances that engaged both officers and congregants in heartfelt praise.
The “Officers in Worship” thanksgiving service has become a cornerstone event in Kadjebi, strengthening bonds among security personnel while reinforcing their spiritual foundation. The annual gathering not only celebrates God’s faithfulness but also prepares the officers to continue serving the nation with dedication, integrity, and reliance on divine guidance.
