The Church of Pentecost, Sabuli District in the Wa Area, has made a remarkable step toward community transformation with a donation to the Sabuli Junior High School on Friday, October 24, 2025, as part of the Sabuli Community Development and Transformation Project (SCDTP) – a Vision 2028-driven initiative.
In his address to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) executives, school heads, and community leaders, the District Minister, Probationary Overseer Ebenezer Enyinful, explained that the gesture was inspired by the Church’s overarching vision: “Unleashing the Whole Church to Transform Their World with the Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God.”
Quoting Matthew 25:32–40, he reminded the gathering that the righteous are called to reflect God’s love through good works; feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, and showing compassion. Drawing further from Acts 10:38, he noted that Jesus, anointed by the Holy Spirit, “went about doing good,” a model the Sabuli District seeks to emulate by demonstrating love through tangible community impact.
The donation package included exercise books, notebooks, Integrated Science and Mathematics past questions, rulers, mathematical sets, erasers, pens, and Bibles. Each Junior High School student received five exercise books and a Bible, while JHS 3 learners received additional study materials, including mathematical sets and notebooks.
The outreach formed part of the 2025 Youth Week Celebration themed “Unleashed to Go and Tell.” During the visit, members of the Church shared the gospel message with the students, resulting in 48 learners accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Probationary Overseer Enyinful emphasized that while soul-winning remains the Church’s core mandate, holistic transformation through education and moral empowerment is equally vital.
As part of its broader educational support, the Sabuli District runs two ongoing initiatives – the Sabuli Children’s Club(Saturdays at 3:30 p.m.) and a Free Mathematics Tutorial Class for JHS 3 students (Sundays at 3:30 p.m.), both held at the Church’s Mission House.
Probationary Overseer Enyinful expressed gratitude to Apostle B.A.M and Mrs. Vida Abogorago, Wa Area Head and wife, for their counsel and support, as well as to the Ghana Education Service, local authorities, and community stakeholders for partnering in this noble cause.
The SCDTP is scheduled for official launch in November 2025 at the Sabuli Central Assembly. The District Minister encouraged parents to collaborate with the Church and other partners in nurturing the next generation through love, discipline, and education.
He concluded that the act of kindness would inspire academic diligence among the students while strengthening community bonds, advancing the shared vision of developing Sabuli to the glory of God.
