The Sefwi Wiawso Area of The Church of Pentecost has organized a practical skills training for its Area Media Team to enhance their competence in church media production, videography, photography, and digital communication.
The training session, held at the PIWC auditorium in Sefwi Wiawso in September 2025, was aimed at equipping media personnel with the tools and knowledge necessary to strengthen the church’s evangelistic and publicity efforts.
Delivering the keynote address, the Sefwi Wiawso Area Head, Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, underscored the indispensable role of media in advancing the mission of the Church. “Media is the voice of ministry,” he declared, emphasising that the media ministry, like John the Baptist in Luke 3:4, is called to prepare the way for the Lord’s work and to amplify the gospel’s reach.
He encouraged the team to be intentional, creative, and innovative in using modern media tools and platforms to project the activities and messages of the Church beyond its physical walls. “The media ministry must serve as a channel through which Jesus Christ is revealed to the world,” he said, urging the team to ensure that all content is approved by the appropriate authority before publication.
Drawing parallels from the ministry of John the Baptist, Apostle Davidson explained that the Media Team’s work plays a vital role in preparing hearts and minds for divine encounters. “Just as John’s ministry ushered in the manifestation of Jesus, your work as media personnel can pave the way for the manifestation of God’s glory in the lives of many,” he noted.
The training brought together 47 participants, who were each awarded certificates of participation. Participants expressed profound gratitude to the Area leadership for organizing such an impactful initiative and appealed for its regular continuation to keep pace with emerging trends in church media practice.
Present at the event were Pastors Francis Atsuvia, Godwin Worlase Kondjah, Brown Boakye Yiadom, Matthew Sedeka, and Overseers Prince Ofori and Stephen Benle, who commended the participants for their commitment to the ministry.
