We Cannot Keep The Good News To Ourselves—Elder Sallah Urges Believers

Elder Evans Amenyo Sallah of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Achimota, has urged Christians to make evangelism a priority by sharing the message of Jesus Christ with people who have yet to experience His saving grace.

Preaching during the church’s Communion Service on Sunday, November 1, 2026, on the theme, “This Is a Day of Good News, What Are We Doing?”, he drew inspiration from 2 Kings 7:9, which recounts how four lepers discovered that the Syrian army had abandoned its camp and recognised that they could not keep the good news to themselves while others remained in need.

Elder Sallah challenged believers to reflect on their responsibility to spread the Gospel, warning against remaining silent about Christ while people around them continue to live without the hope of salvation.

He explained that although sin separated humanity from God, Jesus Christ made salvation and eternal life available through His death. Referring to 1 Corinthians 11:26, he reminded the congregation that proclaiming the Lord’s death was central to their Christian witness and should inspire them to share the message of salvation with others.

He further challenged members to examine their commitment to evangelism by asking themselves how many people they had personally led to Christ.

Emphasising that soul-winning was the responsibility of every believer, regardless of age, profession, or experience, Elder Sallah identified homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and social media platforms as opportunities to reach people with the Gospel. He cautioned Christians against assuming that others already knew Christ because of their appearance or social standing, urging them instead to reach out intentionally and compassionately.

With November designated as Aggressive Evangelism Month, he called on members to make sharing the Gospel an integral part of their daily lives. Drawing from Jude 1:22–23, he encouraged them to demonstrate compassion and urgency in reaching those who needed to experience the love and salvation of Christ.

Present at the service were the Resident Minister of PIWC Achimota, Pastor Dr Isaac Annor, and his wife, Mrs Beatrice Annor, as well as Evangelist Elvis Nague, National Head of Norway, and his family.
