PENSA-KNUST’s “Rural Evangelism” Yields 1,073 Souls

An evangelism outreach jointly organised by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) branch of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) and the Asokwa area of The Church of Pentecost recorded 1,073 souls. Dubbed “Rural Evangelism,” the annual evangelism outreach is organised by PENSA-KNUST to provide its members with an avenue to propagate the gospel, heralding the second coming of Christ in rural areas. It also aims to equip the students as spiritual warriors to reach the nations at all times and everywhere. Elder Godson Boateng of the Abofour New Town District in the Offinso Area has been revealed as the top soul winner in The Church of Pentecost in 2022 after single-handedly winning a total of 175 souls. All the souls won by the elder have since been baptised and have become active members of the Church. The second lead soul winner was Deaconess Comfort Amoako of Dunkwa District in the Dunkwa Area of the Church, who also won 71 souls for the Lord. About 300,000 persons joined The Church of Pentecost in 2022 through various evangelistic outreaches undertaken by the Church throughout the country. In fulfilment of the divine mandate bestowed upon the Church by Christ, The Church of Pentecost embarked on 298,936 evangelistic outreaches across Ghana in 2022. As a result of these outreaches, a total of 288,248 souls were won for the Lord through the efforts of church members. 209,283 of the souls were baptised in water, representing 72.6% of the total number won. Joy gladdened the hearts of the clergy and counsellors of The Church of Pentecost, after Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, revealed that at the end of 2021, the church had embarked on a total of two hundred and sixty-eight thousand, four hundred and ninety-seven (268,497) outreaches that yielded 331,042 souls globally for the Lord.
