VARANE’S EMOTIONAL MESSAGE TO UNITED FANS
Raphael Varane says Manchester United will always be a special place for him as he prepares to leave when his contract expires in the summer.
The Frenchman is due to say his farewells at Old Trafford on Wednesday, when Newcastle United provide the opposition in the Premier League, and admits it will be an emotional moment after three seasons with the club.
Speaking directly to the fans, Varane said: "To you guys, supporters of Manchester United, it has been an amazing few years to play for this special club and wear that shirt.
"The first time I went to Old Trafford as a Man United player was insane. The atmosphere was amazing.
"I fell in love with the club, with the fans. You have to play for Manchester United to understand what that represents."For my kids, it's home here...
