The Mastercard Foundation and Africa CDC initiative – Saving Lives and Livelihoods – which has so far greatly helped the continent deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, is one year old. The initiative is said to be the largest public health partnership between a global philanthropic organisation and an African institution.
