Meta OKs deleting Threads without losing Instagram

Changes are being rolled out to the Threads app that will enable users to delete their account while keeping the linked Instagram account. An Instagram account is required to sign up to the Twitter-like app, but users were frustrated that it was impossible to delete Threads alone. Russell Brand: YouTube suspends monetisation of star’s channel

YouTube has said it has "suspended monetisation" on Russell Brand's channel for "violating" its "creator responsibility policy". The online platform said it was taking action "to protect" its users. The Metropolitan Police has received a report of an alleged sexual assault in 2003 in the wake of allegations in the media about the star. Elon Musk: Social media platform X could go behind paywall

Elon Musk has suggested that all users of X, formerly called Twitter, may have to pay for access to the platform. In a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the billionaire said a payment system was the only way to counter bots. TikTok fined €345m over children’s data privacy.

Irish regulators have fined TikTok €345m (£296m) for violating children's privacy. The complaint concerned how the social media app handled children's data in 2020 - particularly around age verification and privacy settings. It is the biggest fine to date TikTok has received from regulators. Veteran musician A.B. Crentsil reported dead

Legendary highlife musician, Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, popularly known as A.B. Crentsil has reportedly died at age 79.
