Twenty-two-year-old Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi, a member of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Odorkor, etched his name in history last Thursday as he graduated from the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) as the youngest medical doctor in Ghana. The full list of the 24 teams to participate in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has been confirmed now. This was after the final round of qualifying games were concluded on Tuesday, with Cameroon and Namibia the last teams to book their slots. Cameroon scored three second half goals to win 3-0 against Burundi on Tuesday night and secure their place in the Ivory Coast tournament. Parliament passes law to criminalise accusations of witchcraft, practice of witchfinders and witch doctors

Parliament has passed a law criminalising the declaration, accusation, naming or labelling of another person as a witch in Ghana. A Culinary Arts student of the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern Region has won this year’s National cooking competition held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The Government of Ghana has received approval for $200 million financing from the International Development Association (IDA) for the Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project (TCDP) to diversify and grow its economy through modernizing agriculture to accelerate productivity, resilience, and industrialization. This financing will directly benefit 12,800 cocoa farmers and 39,975 cashew, coconut, and rubber farmers, and their households. An additional 20,000 jobs are expected to be created in downstream value addition by mobilizing private capital. Nearly 40 percent of on-farm beneficiaries will be women.
