The Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost has exalted Jesus Christ in a six-day mega evangelistic crusade dubbed the “Kaneshie for Christ Crusade” held at the Kwashieman Park in Accra.
The crusade, held from Tuesday, September 15 to Saturday, September 19, 2026, brought together ministers, officers and members of the Area for an intensive evangelistic campaign aimed at reaching people with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Among the ministers who participated in the crusade were Apostle Samuel Gyau Oboubi, General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost; Apostle Emmanuel Appiah, Director of the Evangelism Ministry; Apostle Daniel Kwaku Depkor, Kaneshie Area Head; Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, Ashaiman Area Head; Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, Sefwi Wiawso Area Head; Pastor Samuel Awugya, Kaneshie Area Secretary; Elder Seth Peasah, Evangelism Ministry NEC Member; and Elder Dr Samuel Nana Amo Tobin, Evangelism Ministry Executive Committee Member.
The crusade recorded significant evangelistic results, with 1,159 souls won. The campaign also recorded 404 water baptisms, 88 Holy Spirit baptisms and 177 rededications.
The main crusade grounds accounted for 385 souls won, comprising 294 new adult souls from the Church, 70 new adult souls from outside the Church and 21 children. It also recorded 245 water baptisms, 75 Holy Spirit baptisms and 67 rededications. The advance-period activities recorded a further 774 souls won, including 631 new adult souls from the Church, 102 from outside the Church and 41 children.
The evangelistic campaign extended beyond the main crusade grounds through several outreach activities, including a breakfast outreach at Old Fadama. The two-day outreach saw 640 people reached and recorded 139 souls won. The activity also recorded 88 water baptisms, 40 Holy Spirit baptisms and 26 rededications.
A satellite cinema outreach also recorded 42 souls won, comprising 32 new adult souls from the Church and 10 new adult souls from outside the Church, with children also captured in the overall outreach statistics.
The Area also combined evangelism with healthcare through a medical outreach, which served 250 beneficiaries. The exercise included pharmacy services and laboratory tests such as haemoglobin, random blood glucose, hepatitis B, malaria and typhoid tests. Seventy-one beneficiaries were also recorded under the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) component.
The medical outreach also resulted in 26 souls won, comprising 19 new adult souls and 19 water baptisms and seven rededications.
The crusade featured a special children’s service on the morning of Saturday, September 19, providing an opportunity for children to participate in the evangelistic programme.
Through the various evangelistic and social interventions, the Kaneshie Area sought to make Jesus Christ known in the community while providing opportunities for people to respond to the Gospel and receive practical support.
The Kaneshie for Christ Crusade ultimately recorded 1,159 souls won, alongside hundreds of water baptisms, Holy Spirit baptisms and rededications, marking a major evangelistic campaign by the Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost.
