Popular American Gospel musician Ron Kenoly has revealed that he has plans to become a resident and citizen of Ghana. Speaking to 3News at the 2023 Harvest Praise he explained that aside from tracing his roots to the country, Ghana is also really welcoming especially to diasporans. Ron Kenoly noted that although he had come to Ghana for the event, one of his primary goals was to get the process of obtaining a permanent residence started. “My purpose of being here is to become a resident of Ghana and eventually become a citizen of Ghana. For the last week, I’ve been filling out forms and documents to gain residency and eventually to be your brother, a Ghanaian citizen,” the 78-year-old said. 4 die in Kenya while ‘fasting to meet Jesus’

Four people were on Thursday found dead and nearly a dozen others hospitalised in Kenya’s coastal Kilifi county, after being rescued while waiting the imminent end of the world. Police said the group was found in a forest where they had been living for several days after being told a local preacher to fast while “waiting to meet Jesus”. The authorities said they rescued 11 people – six of them were emaciated and in critical condition. Police said they will resume a search for more members of the group on Friday morning following reports that others were still in the forest. Ghana confirms invasion of dangerous new mosquito breed

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed the invasion of a new breed of mosquito more dangerous than the anopheles. The new breed known as Anopheles Stephensi, is also a malaria-transmitting mosquito, very invasive, spreads faster, and can adopt to a myriad of climate conditions according to the World Health Organization. GHSe has established its presence in Tuba and Dansoman, and has warned residents to protect themselves. The Anopheles Stephensi first invaded Africa in 2019, the countries include Ethiopia Sudan, Somalia, and Nigeria and unfortunately confirmed in Ghana just this March. The Kaneshie Area Prisons Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has organised a 3-day crusade concurrently at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison, Nsawam Female Prison and Nsawam Camp Prison. The Pre-Easter crusade was held from March 31 to April 2, 2023, under the theme: “Jesus Christ! God’s Perfect Sacrifice that has brought Eternal Salvation” (Hebrews 7:23-28). It was aimed at leading the inmates to Christ and demonstrating the love of Christ to them through fellowship and donations. The crusade yielded a total of 51 souls out of which 37 converts were baptised in water. Five other inmates were baptised in the Holy Spirit while several others received deliverances from demonic oppressions. Ghana is the first country to approve a new malaria vaccine that has been described as a “world-changer” by the scientists who developed it. The vaccine – called R21 – appears to be hugely effective, in stark contrast to previous ventures in the same field. Ghana’s drug regulators have assessed the final trial data on the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness, which is not yet public, and have decided to use it. The items were presented to the missions directorate by Deaconess Mrs. Lydia Owusu Acheampong (Women’s Ministry Leader of PIWC-Seattle), and her husband, Mr. Chris Owusu Acheampong, during a short donation ceremony held today at the Church’s General Headquarters, La in Accra.
