Importers & Exporters Association Condemns U.S. Tariffs On Ghanaian Goods
The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG) has expressed strong opposition to the recent decision by the United States government to impose a 10% tariff on imports from Ghana.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, the Association described the move as a violation of World Trade Organisation (WTO) protocols and a threat to Ghana’s economic stability. It warned that the tariff hike could severely affect businesses engaged in international trade, potentially diminishing the country's global competitiveness.
