The Church of Pentecost has reached a remarkable milestone in its global missions agenda, expanding its presence to 210 nations and territories worldwide.
This achievement was revealed by the Chairman of the church, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, during the delivery of the State of the Church Address at the opening session of the 48th General Council Meetings on Wednesday April 22, 2026, at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomah Fetteh.
The expansion in 2025 reflects a significant increase of 21 new nations compared to the previous year’s figure of 19 nations that saw the church in 189 nations at the end of 2024. The growth from 189 to 210 external branches represents an 11% growth in global reach during the reporting period.
This latest development highlights the church’s firm commitment to its vision of possessing the nations and spreading the message of Christ to every corner of the world. The newly entered nations span multiple continents, highlighting a strategic and Spirit-driven expansion into diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
Among the countries where the church has newly established a presence are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laos, the Cook Islands, Montenegro, Peru, Monaco, San Marino, Somalia, and Kosovo. The Church also made inroads into Guadeloupe, Greenland, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Curaçao, French Guiana, Palau, and Iran. Further expansions were recorded in Eritrea, La Réunion, Syria, and the Solomon Islands.
This growth forms part of a broader trend of steady expansion across all operational fronts of the Church. According to the latest worldwide Membership Growth Analysis, the number of districts globally rose from 3,183 in 2024 to 3,328 in 2025, marking a 4.6% increase. Similarly, the total number of assemblies grew from 27,106 to 28,001, representing a 3.3% rise.
Apostle Dr Nyamekye espoused that while Ghana remains the church’s home base with a stable national presence, the most significant growth continues to occur within external missions, both in autonomous and non-autonomous nations. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the church’s international missions strategy and the dedication of its missionaries and local leadership across the globe.
He attributed this unprecedented expansion to divine grace, strategic planning, and the sacrificial commitment of members worldwide.
As The Church of Pentecost continues to advance its global mandate, this achievement reinforces its position as one of the fastest-growing Christian denominations, with a clear focus on evangelism, church planting, and discipleship across nations.
